Pinteresting Wednesday & Birthday Wishes

Happy 12th birthday to my gorgeous sister Elizabeth!! She is truly such a joy and I am so lucky to have her as my sister. She is such a fun girl full of jokes and sarcasm. Hope this is the best birthday yet and can't wait to see you play your violin tonight at your 1st orchestra concert.

And now linking up for OHP with Michelle
Baked oatmeal for easy on the go breakfast. Yum

Adding a ribbon to a necklace to make it longer. Genius!

I had a loft bed when I was a kid but the little house definitely beats the desk that was under mine.

Posters put onto dresser drawers. So cool.

ONE meaning behind my blog name
Hmmm, honestly it isn't very meaningful or anything. When I finally decided I wanted to start a blog, the name hadn't even crossed my mind. Then when I realized that was part of the deal I thought long and hard for about 10 minutes and came up with Blissfully Britt. I guess you could say that this blog here follows the blissful happenings of my life :)

I Can (not) DIMyself: Pizza Fail

First of all I would like to announce that I am becoming more blog savvy!! I finally joined the instagram bandwagon. Better late than never right?? And I even posted how you can find me on my side bar ----> or by searching Blissfullybrittanymorgan
I know, pretty fancy here. Expect for I don't know how to make them the same size, or all in a row. But whatever :) it works.

Today I am linking up again with Steph and Katie for Saw it, Pinned it, Did it. And as my personal twist, Failed it.

I have really been trying to eat healthy and avoid gluten (think I have an allergy) so when I saw this recipe on Pinterest I knew that I HAD to try it.

Cauliflower Pizza Crust

Mine^                     How it was supposed to look^

You see I followed all of the steps correctly...until the very very end. And it ruined it all :(

Picture 1: all the ingredients. cauliflower, eggs, turkey pepperoni, cheese, and sauce
Picture 2: mixing the crust. grated cauliflower, cheese and egg
Picture 3: the crust after being prebaked
Picture 4: all ready to be cooked
Picture 5: coming out of the oven looking delicious and ready to be eaten
Picture 6: All my dreams come crashing down when I realize that my pizza is stuck to the foil :( I guess it will be the toppings for dinner tonight.

So now I can share with you all how to make this properly and hopefully get an actual slice of pizza out of it. Use the parchment paper like the recipe suggests :) Than I imagine all will be fine. But for those of you who are still weary I hope to post an update after following ALL of the directions. Jamal wants to try it again. Better luck next time.

How To Go From Shower To Paradise In Under $5

Thanks to MLKJ I got an extra day off this past weekend. And what did I do with that extra day you ask? Well of course it had to be the coldest day of the year so naturally I thought fro-yo would be a good idea. That and lots and lots of catching up on my shows.

Anyway, I have something super cool that I discovered that I want to share with you. Back during Christmas shopping time I stopped at one of my favorite stores The Bibelot. Love this place. And just when I thought I hadn't found a thing that I needed wanted I found these brilliant little guys.

They are little aromatherapy pods that you put in your shower to get the best experience EVER. I love this blue Clarity one that smells like eucalyptus and peppermint. It reminds me of the steam room at the gym.

Then have a ton of scents and I am in love. I don't have a very big shower so pretty much no matter where I placed mine there was direct water on it, which I don't think was the correct way to use it, not sure. So mine only lasted about 2 showers. Either way, I'm sold. These great little things only cost $4.50 a piece.

This Weekend I & My Love JT

First things first.

My Love Justin Timberlake has Finally after 6 long years made new music and I couldn't be more ecstatic!!!!   This is seriously the greatest thing ever!! And a wonderful start to 2013!!!! Now I just need him to go on tour :)

This Weekend I...
Didn't take many pictures... :( But I had a lot of fun. Friday night I hung out with my good friend Colleen. We met up at Chili's for dinner. And then afterwards because we are so awesome we headed over to Babies R Us for some window shopping/dreaming about the future. Annnnddddd then after we got our cute baby clothes fill we headed over to the mall so that I could finally buy my beloved Uggs. Love them!
Awkward semi discreet picture taken in public.

This Weekend I...
Worked all day Saturday and then got ready to head over to Rileys house (the girl I babysit) to spend the night with her while her parents were out celebrating a birthday. In hopes of wearing her out having a lot of fun I took her to Sky Zone, an indoor trampoline park. It took me about 10 minutes to convince it was going to be fun and then once she finally tried it out she loved it!! And I did too :) then we went back to her house to finish the night out with some good old Matilda.

This Weekend I...
Watched some football games while trying to get ready for coming back to school today. Blah. Luckily I wasn't too tired this morning. Now to find the cheapest price for my books online. Wish me luck! Happy Monday.

I Can DIMyself: Wreath

I am so excited to be linking up with Steph & Katie for their Saw it, Pinned it, Did it!

Today I bring you a NFL Bears Wreath. Sadly they didn't make it into the playoffs but luckily YOU can make this for YOUR favorite team that did :)

My Wreath
This is the most complicated things I have made thus far. Ashley and I weren't exactly sure what we were doing and we were not following any directions. So we ended up having to go back to the store half way though because we did not have enough supplies. So word the the wise: Get more than you think you will need. But I love how it turned out and it was a lot of fun.

You just need some ribbon, at least 4 spools if you make it the way I did, if you make it like the pinterest one then you need at least 7. I wrapped the ribbon around my wreath in sections of each color (blue and orange)  and then to add some fun and sparkle we glitterized some foam balls, painted a wooden football (AKA a wooden oval), and added some sparkly little bows.

Then we just glued everything on and ended up with these awesome wreaths. And for glue we used mod podge. We glued the ribbon to the back of the wreath, the football, bows and sparkly balls glued just fine onto the ribbon. Ashley's is the purple and green because she lives in a divided house. Packers and Vikes.

And as you can see once I got mine home I thought it needed something else so I added the letters that you saw in the first picture and I just picked those up from Michaels as is.

So it was a bit time consuming but a ton of fun, we just listened to music and chatted until we were done :) I know these are not the best directions so if you want to make one and have any questions let me know.

Date Day: Archery

Back in the summer I bought a voucher from LivingSocial to try out archery. I had done it once before when I was a kid so I thought it would be something fun for us to do. Then last week I got an email saying that my voucher was going to expire soon so I made us an appointment ASAP.

So last Thursday Jamal drove us to the secret location (I didn't tell him what we were doing) and we walked into Average Joes Archery and spent the next two hours trying to hit the target. He had much better luck than I did. It was a lot of fun even though I was lucky if I hit the paper with each arrow every round. haha Jamal on the other hand tore up the middle X. He was just lucky ;)

Can you tell who's is who's?? At least I was fairly consistent :) Bottom left almost every time

I Can DIMyself: Salsa

After seeing a post from Cynthia at Living in Neverland about her husband made her some delicious salsa I have been dying to try it, so last week I finally found some time.

We started out by picking out some of the best looking tomatoes and peppers. We had about 5 different kinds of peppers. We also bought some cilantro, garlic, and onions to add in.

We then broiled all of the peppers and tomatoes in the oven to get a good flavor out of them. After they were pretty charred I peeled everything and then diced them up.

We threw in the chopped cilantro, garlic and onions. And Wa-La we had delicious fresh salsa!! Easy as that!!
Now a few suggestions for how I might do it next time:

The salsa is great and fresh but I was hoping for something with a bit of spice so maybe less onion and cilantro next time and maybe add more peppers??

I don't really like peppers or deal with them much so this was a first for me but now I know....ALWAYS WEAR GLOVES WHEN HANDLING PEPPERS THIS MUCH!!! For the next 2 days, TWO DAYS, anytime I touched my eyes or mouth they would burn. And it hurt! So be careful :)

Have you ever tried making homemade salsa?? And if so, do you know if I should have added soemthing in to keep it fresh longer or is it okay?
