Party Rockin'

They were so incredible!!!! It was non stop fun the entire night. Chris Koma, Eva Simmons, Sidney Samson, Far East Movement opened for them and halfway through LMFAO's show the Quest Crew came out and danced.

They were so high energy and changed outfits at least 5 times! It was so wild and a great concert but now I will show some pictures because they can show you how much fun it was better than I can explain :)

Memorial Weekend

HEY EVERYONE :) Hope you all had a fantastic weekend. I sure did. Although I did have to work Saturday and Sunday I still had plenty of time for fun.

Friday was the concert, I will post on that soon.

Saturday I got asked to house sit over 4th of July weekend, I am almost positive that I am going to and I am pretty excited for it. It will be a mini vacation away from home, I can sit in the pool/hot tub all day, and I get paid. Sounds like fun to me :)

Sunday Jamal grilled some delicious food. His mom, my aunt and my cousin came over to hang out with us. Then that night we just hung out at home, it was storming out again and I didn't feel like going out.

Then on Monday we went to a BBQ at a friend of Jamal's house and I got to meet some of his co workers and their families so that was fun. I made some new friends and now we can all hang out together.

It was a really fun weekend and I am looking forward to more like it throughout the summer.

Three Year Anniversary

On Saturday Jamal and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary. I am so glad that I have been able to share the past few years of my life with him. He has been there for me through everything. And I am so grateful for that and can't wait to see what our future holds.

For my gift he bought me this gorgeous ring to match the necklace he gave me for Christmas. Right now it is getting sized but as soon as I get it back I will post a picture.

Not too long ago I think I mentioned that Jamal had joined a football league. Well on Saturday he had his first home game and since I had the day off I went to cheer him on. It was a lot of fun and he did great. He plays for  practically the entire game so I worry about him getting to tired or hurt but he loves it. (He's #92 and is a defensive and offensive lineman)

They Won!!!!!

Afterwards we didn't get home until almost 9. So he took a quick shower and we went to Applebee's for a late dinner. I had wanted to go somewhere else but it was raining like crazy and he was tired and sore. We still had fun and ate some delicious steak so it turned out great.

It was a fun day and for more celebration of our anniversary we are going to the LMFAO concert this Friday!!!!!! Can't Wait

Our Story-Part 1

Since my 3 year anniversary is tomorrow I thought it would be a great time to start telling our story. It is so crazy to think that it has been 3 years, sometimes it feels like forever and other times like like it has just flown by. Well here it is, the story of us and how we got started. (you can follow along with part 2 here)

Back in my junior year of high school I walked into my chemistry class on the first day of the last semester and took my assigned seat. A few minutes after the bell had rung some tall guy walks in and takes his seat behind me. I didn't pay much attention.

As the semester went on he continued to bother me or how he thought of it, flirt. He was constantly picking on me by taking my stuff, hiding it, and juts being annoying. Sometimes I would play along with him but it got old quick. A lot of people told me he liked me but I didn't think much of it because his current girlfriend was in one of my other classes...and she really liked me! I felt quite awkward.

One day he out his number in my phone and we would occasionally text. This was back in the day when I had pay-as-you-go and not unlimited, so the conversations were quite short. This may have also been due to the fact that he never had much to say anyway.

That summer I went to Spain for a month and the day after I got back was his grad party. He invited me last minute and for some reason I agreed to go. I am not sure why I barely knew the guy! And it had been a while since we talked. Anyway I went to drop of a card and say hi, I was there for maybe 5 minutes. I am telling you guys, I am awkward! He was outside with some people and his girlfriend, the same one. So I just left, I didn't know anyone there anyway.

Well since this is getting long I am going to continue it another day. Up next is our one sided convo at Applebees. And I know you will want to come back so you can see what happened. More awkward funniness is sure to ensue.

Ps. How great is it that we met in chemistry class??? Amazing right. haha that would have to be my favorite part of the story...or one of them at least.

My First Birch Box

I have been hearing about these boxes for a while now and decided that I needed to try it out. I was pretty excited because I love samples. I got some good stuff.

Here's what I got for this month's Gossip Girl's themed box:

  • BVLGARI Omnia Crystalline perfume
  • Color Club Clambake Coral nail polish
  • Kiehl's Abyssine Cream
  • Ojon Damage reverse conditioner

So far the only thing that I have tried is the nail polish and I love it. The color is actually a lot more coral/orangy than pink like it looks in the picture.

A Day To Honor Mom's

Sunday Jamal and I treated our mom's to a brunch buffet at Oak City. I really wanted to go there because they HAD the best caramel rolls ever. Sadly, they are now under new ownership and don't make them anymore :( I was disappointed but the food still tasted good. It was nice to eat a meal with both of our families and all be together.

Jamal his mom and his brother
(I forgot to get a picture of me with my mom :/ oops)

Afterwards we went bowling. Not exactly something I am good at but we had a lot of fun.

Jamal's brother DJ

check out that great form!

My sister- she looks like she is a ballerina haha

Jamal got the high score of the day and his personal best, 198

It was a fun day hanging out with our families. And most importantly our moms were happy and had fun :)

Were You Right?

The Lie Is.....

Number Three: I actually have never read any of the Harry Potter books.

So yes that means that I have held a python snake. I decided to do it just so I could say I have. But it was pretty scary, it wasn't like I was holding with my hands, it was around my neck!! I did have a minor freak out while doing it (eyes were watering and tears would've started if it did not get removed immediately). But I am glad to say that I did it. :)

And yes I have also attended 3 colleges in 3 years. I guess I had posted that before..oops

Well that was fun, thanks everyone who played along!

And now I am off to tackle my huge to-do list today.

Two Truths & A Lie

Lately my life has been less than exciting and therefore I am lacking in ideas for posts. But lucky me I have been waiting for this link-up and it is finally here :) Mallory is hosting a 2 truths and a lie link-up. Go check out her blog to guess her lie!

Which one of these is not like the other??? Two are true and one is a lie. Can you figure it out? Give it a try :)

                                                       Here's mine:

                                 1. I have attended three different colleges in three years.
                                 2.  I have held a python snake.

                                 3. I have read all of the Harry Potter books twice.

Take your guesses!!!! I will reveal the answer tomorrow.

Cops and Bras

Not too long ago I noticed that the tabs on my license plates were missing. Some idiot thought it would be cool to take them off. One of the many things I hate about living on campus. Obviously I don't want to have to buy new ones so I just ignore the fact that I now have expired tabs and continue on with life.

Well on my way back to school yesterday a cop happened to start following me for a while. And then the dreaded lights started flashing. I pulled over and waited for him to walk up to my window. He explained to me that I have expired tabs on my car but when he ran it it showed that I had purchased some. So then I respond as if I had never noticed and have no idea what could have happened to them. He told me to check my other cars to see if I put them on the wrong one (I'm not an idiot!) and to go and buy some new replacement ones.

And so now I can no longer pretend that I don't know they are missing and have to make a super long never ending lines quick trip to the DMV.

So yesterday I drove back to school to take my last 2 finals of the semester. Campus is about 2 hours away from my house. After I had been driving for over an hour I suddenly, to my horror, realized that I hadn't put a bra on before I left the house! I had been sitting around all morning writing papers and then when I got up to left I just threw a sweatshirt on. Now this may not be such a horrible situation if I had A cups, but I don't. And I definitely need a bra! All I could do was hope that there was one left in my room so I wouldn't be stuck in this sweatshirt for the next 2 days.

As soon as I got back in my room I searched for an extra bra that I may have left here and luckily I found one! Crisis adverted :)

P.S. I apologize that my past few posts have been pictureless and therefore not so pretty to look at :( so sad. I will improve my picture taking skills over the summer and try to be better :)

Movie and Lunch Date

Yesterday I went to go see The Lucky One with one of my good friends Colleen. I don't get to see her often so it was nice to be able to get together.

I am not going to reveal any details of the movie or book for anyone who hasn't seen/read it.

I really wish that I had seen the movie before I read the book. I fell in love with the book and the characters while reading and had high hopes for the movie. Don't get me wrong it was a good movie but I just feel like it was no where as good as the book. I love reading and getting into the characters head, knowing what they are thinking. And I didn't get that from the movie. I also felt like some of the characters weren't portrayed as they should have been.

For the most part it was a good movie and maybe my problem is just that I am a big reader and really feel apart of the story.

After the movie we went to the Big Bowl to go get some lunch. I hadn't been there in a while so I was looking forward to it. We got some small plates to share. My absolute favorite were the pot stickers. So amazing! Best I have ever had. I almost wish we had just ordered a bunch of those and not the other food haha.

It was so much fun catching up with Colleen and luckily I will be seeing her again on Thursday :) pretty excited.
